Nikaia Municipality Shelter

The operation of the Nikaia Municipality Shelter of Ag. I. Rentis concerns that part of the population that cannot meet the basic need for housing. Specifically, "Shelters" are immediate accommodation facilities that operate only during the night and cover urgent housing needs of those living on the street. They provide overnight stay services, personal care and hygiene, psychosocial support, and connection with housing, food provision, psychological support, legal aid, counseling, health, welfare, and social reintegration services. In this Structure, cooperation with OKANA is foreseen for cases of beneficiaries who are substance users; it will contribute to recording the individual history, inform the Structure's social worker about the beneficiary's profile, and cooperate in planning support services.
